Biography:

Nadkarni is also professor of biology at the U. Her research is focused on the ecology of tropical and temperate forest canopies, particularly the role that canopy-dwelling plants play in forests at the ecosystem level. Prior to Utah, she taught environmental studies at the Evergreen State College in Washington state. She holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from Brown University and a PhD in Forest Ecology from the University of Washington.
