On June 26, Lexi Lagan, a senior in physics, earned the title of National Women’s Air Pistol Champion at the USA Shooting National Championships in Fort Benning, Georgia. Lagan was previously named a runner-up at the 2016 airgun Olympic trials. She finished ahead of three former Olympians at both the Olympic Selection Match and the National Championships. Then, on June 29, Lagan was named to USA Shooting’s national team. Lagan and assistant pistol coach Matt DeLong are available to tell the story of her achievement.
