Stances of Clinton and Trump on refugees resettling in the U.S.

Caren Frost, research professor and director of global social work, is available to discuss the vastly different views of Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump regarding refugees coming to the U.S. Clinton supports allowing refugees to resettle in the U.S. and increasing the number of refugees entering the country, specifically focusing on minority Christian groups, as well as women from specific regions of the world. However, Trump does not want to allow refugees – specifically Muslim refugees from Syria – to resettle in the U.S. He has also said he’s against people immigrating to the U.S. from countries that have been “compromised by terrorism.”  Frost says this isn’t a realistic position because many European countries – including France, Germany and Great Britain – have been compromised by terrorism.
