Texas abortion law

Controversy surrounds a pending U.S. Supreme Court decision that challenges a restrictive Texas abortion law. The Supreme Court will soon decide whether the Texas law, which imposes strict regulations on abortion doctors and clinic facilities, violates a woman’s constitutional right to end her pregnancy as set out in the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling. University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law Professor Erika George researches human rights and gender equality. She is available to speak on the case by phone or e-mail (she is traveling out of Utah for the next couple of weeks).
