The why and how of Utah’s landscape

Warmer weather and approaching summer will see more people visiting the stunningly beautiful landscapes throughout Utah. A new book by geologist and emeritus professor William Parry explains how that landscape was built, from the ancient Wasatch and Uinta ranges to the otherworldly Colorado Plateau. The book is titled “Geology of Utah: Mountains, Peaks, and Plateaus.” Parry is an avid outdoorsman and is available to share his favorite places in Utah’s geological wonderland.
