Paralympic archery team support

Sports psychologist, Nicole Detling, will remain in Utah during the Rio Olympics but will still be supporting team USA’s Paralympic archery team. Detling can speak to topics such as sports anxiety techniques, how coaches support their athletes, how athletes keep the winning mindset and how Olympians deal with the pressure of winning. Detling is an assistant professor in exercise and sport science at the U. U alumna, Randi Smith, is the national Paralympic archery head coach and will lead the team in Rio. Smith earned her bachelor’s degree in leisure studies (recreational therapy), her Master of Education in Adapted Physical Education and master’s degree in educational psychology (counseling) and also has a special education certification.
