Helping teachers succeed

Each June, the Hinckley Institute hosts its annual Huntsman Seminar for Teachers. The five-day seminar is sponsored by the Jon and Karen Huntsman Foundation and focuses primarily on improving civic education in Utah schools. Participants gain valuable knowledge and insight into current events in American Politics by learning from, and interacting with, political experts, judges, university faculty, and elected officials. The Huntsman Seminar is a unique opportunity for teachers to gain an in-depth understanding of local, state, and national political issues. This year’s event takes place June 13-17. Media interested in pursuing a story can schedule a time to visit during part of the seminar by contacting Natalie Tippets at the Hinckley Institute of Politics.
