Bias in negotiation

Do gender, race and culture play a role in the outcomes of lawyers’ negotiations? That question will be examined at an event held earlier this week at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, “Bias in Negotiation.”  The event — sponsored by the S.J. Quinney College of Law, the Utah Minority Bar Association, and Women Lawyers of Utah —examined how bias affect lawyers both personally and in the outcomes they are able to achieve for clients. The issue is an ongoing one in the legal community, and James Holbrook, a law professor, is available to speak to media on the topic.
