Last fall volunteers planted another few thousand daffodil bulbs to bring the total number of spring bulbs at Red Butte Garden to nearly 450,000. They hoped their hard work would pay off this April when the magnificent display of bulbs bloom. That is, if spring decides to stick this year. Many daffodils have bloomed, only to wear a coat of snow. With one week of beautiful spring weather and the next full of snow, how does this affect the bulbs? Horticulturalist Marita Tewes Tyrolt of the Red Butte Garden is available starting Tuesday, April 5 to discuss the changing weather and what this can mean for your garden. Weather bring what it may, Red Butte Garden is presenting their Bulbs and Blooms festival all April. Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84108.
