It’s common to ask children what they want to be when they grow up, but once they get to college, the question isn’t always easy to answer. Many students take the first year or two of college to explore their options before committing to a major. The University of Utah’s Academic Advising Center works with students to help them make the best decisions to focus their studies. Stephanie Begaye, assistant director of the U’s Major Exploration Program, can discuss things students can do before getting to college and during college to help them make that important decision.
