The Super Bowl and the flu

A new study finds increased flu deaths in people over 65 in cities with teams playing in the Super Bowl, likely because of close contact of fans at Super Bowl parties. Infectious disease experts and physicians Sankar Swaminathan and Andy Pavia are available to comment on this year’s flu season trends, ways the virus could be spread at parties, and tips for staying healthy during the big game.
