Turmoil in Turkey

Last week’s terrorist attack on Istanbul’s Atatürk International Airport highlighted the country’s precarious political climate and multiple internal conflicts. University of Utah biologist and Turkish native Çağan Şekercioğlu recently returned from a research trip to Turkey, passing through Atatürk airport only four days before the bombings. He is available to comment on the impact of conflict and violence on his scientific endeavors in Turkey.
